Where’s the best place to live in DC? DC is constantly changing and there are so many great neighborhoods to live in but the Navy Yard is one of the newest development projects in DC. The next big addition to the buzzing area around Nationals Park is the Dock 79 development, located between the ballpark and the Anacostia River.

Dock 79 boasts great restaurants and an innovative new way to live urban. The apartment complex hosts rooftop yoga for residents along with green buildings, smart technologies and an easy commute into the middle of the city.

Today Dock 79 has multiple restaurants planned to open in 2017: Salt Line, a New England inspired seafood restaurant from chef Kyle Bailey and the team behind Sixth Engine and Town Hall, and a second location of All-Purpose, the critically acclaimed Shaw pizzeria. They’ll be joined by Bardo, which plans to open a beer garden and dog park before baseball season commences. These along with the current restaurants already near Dock 79 in Yards Park like Osteria Morini and Due South make the Navy Yard one of the up and coming neighborhoods in DC.
